Photography

Hello and welcome to COGPhoto. This site is the growing collection of photos I've taken through the years. I began shooting with my family Nikon SLR when I took a photography class in college. It was easy to make the switch to the digital medium when I finished my photography classes and lost access to the dark room. I miss the film days, but at least I don't reek of chemicals anymore.

The Site

The images on this site are displayed using a simple python/XML backend. Image touch-ups were done using The Gimp. I highly recommend using this free open source program as an alternative to Photoshop. When everything is adjusted the way I want it, a PIL script resizes and optimize the photo for the web.
